Overview

The Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP)
Founded in 2019, the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) serves professionals, senior professionals and amateurs in the fastest growing sport in the USA. The first and only tour officially sanctioned by USA Pickleball, the 2023 APP Tour has already announced 16 tournament stops, in addition to International and Collegiate Series events. The APP also prides itself on developing the next generation of champions through its Next Gen Series and other youth initiatives.

Goal

Building the responsive website to accommodate various screen sizes (e.g. tablet and mobile). In this case, I focused on the desktop design to mobile design. Based on APP Tour's Google Analytics Audience overview (July 2022 - August 2022), we found 58.7% of our users were using mobile to view the APP Tour website.

User Goal

-Allow users to navigate throughout the website with the best possible experience for any device.
-Enable users to complete their tasks on the website with any device e.g. register a tournament, view the upcoming tournament or tournament schedule

Business Goal

-Increase website traffic
-Have more players register tournaments
-Help the brand grow
-Get more sponsorships

This website was built by WordPress. I was the main front-end web developer building the site. I also regularly updated the site's content provided by my project manager. To make this website mobile friendly, I have to think of UX/UI elements that benefit each section throughout the site in order to provide the best user experience.
